Chapter four of the story is a very important chapter it shows the main idea of the book. In this chapter it tells how his mother beat him, made him drink amonnia, refused to feed him and tried to put him on a stove top. This chapter shows how his mother completley lost it and his father who had tried to stick up for him and help him in the past just gave up and let it happen. David talks about in the story how he has no more self respect or dignity, it is all gone and he has nothing left.

In the third chapter of my book it establishes how the relationship between the young boy named David and his mother changes. The chapter talks about his mothers attitude change, and how her hate grows for him. She starts punishing him more then his brothers, she makes things unfair and makes sure that he knows he is a bad boy. It tells that the reason for his mother changing is the relationship between his parants. His mother is different between day and night when father comes home she got all dressed up and put on a smile but when father was not around she was a completely different person.

The second chapter in the story is about before things got bad and how good their family was they considered thhemselfs as the Braidy bunch. They lived as the perfect 1960s family their mother was the perfect cook their father was a fire man and they all got along perfect. They used to take family vacations and have special dinners. the parents used to get along perfect and be a wonderful couple. the whole family seemed to contempt and happy.

The first chapter in this book goes back in time and tells how things happened and how the day he finally got out happened. It starts telling what his mother did to him, the markings that he had and bruises from her abuse. It gives you the just of things and tells you how he felt and how scared he was such as when the police man came and got him out of school. The Chapter shows how scared and frightend he was just to be leaving and that he thought he was going back to hell. In the end of the chapter it tells where he ends up and how much better he feels.

I am doing an analysis on the novel A Child Called It by Dave Pelzer. This is a novel about the struggle of a young boy who fights to stay alive. The boy in this story tells horrifying stories of how his mother treated him and how he was abused. A Child Called It is based on a true story and was one of the most severe child abuse cases in California.
